Currently, KAIST has six colleges, two schools, and 33 divisions. The seven different KAIST University institutions have been set up for research. These include that of Biocentury, Entertainment Engineering, NanoCentury, Eco-Energy and more.
Times Higher Education World University ranked KAIST as the 102nd best university in the world. The University was also named as the sixth most innovative university of the world by Thomson Reuters. It received the title of most innovative for Asia Pacific region in 2016-17. The legacy of these rankings has been prominent since the past 50 years.
